Wherein a young man from Sweden writes about things he likes, hates and finds interesting. Also, pictures of pretty things.

So… Is there a canon explanation for Zuko’s hairstyle in Book 1 of The Last Airbender? I’ve made a headcanon that his head is shaved yet he keeps the top knot because the top knot ir for royalty yet they made him shave his head as yet another punishment, perhaps to clearly mark him as a banished man? Does this seem like it’d make sense, does anyone have a better explanation? I’m curious to hear!

I adore these mirror photographs, they are all so lovely.

bad-mojo:

give me dreampop recommendations!

i’m really into cocteau twins and this mortal coil and just yesterday i discovered julee cruise, but i’m still fairly new to this genre (as in, i dabbled in it as a teen but i never expanded myself much…)

looking for things with ethereal voices, layered guitars/synth effects and slow, hypnotic melodies because it’s good music to draw to.

songs, albums, musicians, everything goes

Cranes are good, their early albums are more post punk but its all good. Oh yeah, Candy Claws are also good, they are less eerie than Cranes.

This band, Ergyron, makes such gorgeous music. They play chukchi music, and the chukchi are a native people of Siberia.

Question

Anonymous asked: 4, 6, 91, 92

4: 3 things I love. I love good music, spending time with my friends and doing creative things (drawing, writing, etc) successfully (creative block sucks, the perfectionism that made me waste 3 hours trying to mix the perfect shade of paint sucks).

6: 4 turn offs. Generally bigoted behaviour (homophobia, transphobia, femme loathing, racism, things like that) is a major one. Certain kinds of dirty talk. Certain sex acts. I can’t think of a fourth one so this will be all, sorry for being so vague.

91: Kissed a boy? Yes.

92: Kissed a girl? Yes.

First my computer breaks, and now my phone? What’s next, my glasses? My graduation suit magically disintegrating into dust? Why is it only expensive things that break and not cheap, easily replacable ones like socks?

Question

gorgonetta asked: 9, 17, 19?

9: Best first date? I’m not a date kind of person, all first dates have been ridiculously awkward and weird (when I say all, I mean, like, three). I don’t get out much, haha. A dream date would be to meet and listen to music together, or watch a film, I think. Ugh, I’m so socially awkward, haha.

17: Favourite food? Bibimbap, at least at the moment, but I love food so it was hard to choose one fav, but I also like sushi, tacos, meze type food, italian food…

19: What are you listening to right now? Birdsong and the song No Love Lost by Joy Division (actually from when they called themselves Warsaw, but still).

gorgonetta:

Poking around YouTube and listening to post-punk/goth bands old and new.  Only problem is a bunch of them don’t have many recorded songs, or the recordings are hard to find.

Try Glorious Din, they’re really good. Diskoteket as well, and also Makthaverskan for some Swedish post punk :)
